Individual Membership

The Colorado Bluegrass Music Society has been dedicated to educating and promoting bluegrass music in Colorado for 50 years. In addition to being a caretaker of the history of bluegrass in the state, CBMS also conducts outreach to schools, donates instruments, endorses and donates money to local festivals and puts on shows with local bluegrass bands. Our volunteers are all unpaid and any money you donate goes to either support our expenses or goes back out to the bluegrass community.

We are a 501 (c) (3) organization and your donations are tax deductible. Please help us continue to support local music in Colorado. Thank you!

Professional Membership

Our mission at Colorado Bluegrass Music Society has always included our passion for promoting and supporting local musicians in our area, and our band membership aims to do just that. As a member, CBMS bands are listed on our website accessible to venues, festivals, and talent agents who are looking to book music for their events. These folks often reach out for recommendations and are directed to our website where your band will be listed with a photo and link to YOUR website.

The membership also includes social media promotion for any single or album releases and one show of your choice each year, support from and access to board members who are available to answer questions or lend advice, and a presence as a vetted and approved professional bluegrass band in Colorado. 

As a professional nonprofit organization, we expect professionalism from all our members. Please understand that by applying for membership you agree to represent yourselves in such a way by showing up on time for gigs, communicating in a professional manner with these contacts, and performing the job agreed-upon. We take our reputation seriously and ask that you please do the same.
