Garian Vigil is a native Coloradoan. She hails from the Western Slope and makes her home in Boulder, CO. Garian is a graduate of Leadership Bluegrass in Nashville. She owns G-Run Media, a publicity firm, and is the Editor in Chief of the CBMS monthly newsletter, Pow'r Pickin'
Kevin Slick is one heck of a musician. And a writer. And-this year-our CBMS president. We're not quite sure when he sleeps, but he obviously doesn't need much of it.
Jackson Earles is our youngest writer He writes CBMS's monthly "Pickin' Sprouts" column. Jackson plays with The Cody Sisters and is starting to make a name for himself, composing several of his own songs.
Doris Gray is a CBMS Hall of Honor member, Past President of CBMS, currently serving as the contact for advertising for Pow'r Pickin' magazine-both its print and online edition. She also writes for the magazine.
Chad Fisher is a music instructor and performer who lives in Ft. Collins. Chad was the Coordinator for the Laurel Elementary School of Arts and Technology. While there, he started a mandolin program and created a "Bluegrass Club". His strong work ethic and passion at Laurel Elementary community was recognized as one of Poudre Valley's 2012 Employee of the Year. Chad is the author of the Bluegrass Connection column that appears in Pow'r Pickin'
.Kane Hollins is the banjo player for Silverplume. First place winner of the 2014 RockyGrass banjo contest. Plays the Allegheny model banjo of his own design and construction. Started playing banjo in Washington D.C. and has been part of the Boulder county Bluegrass scene since 1984.
Veta Gumber, aka Vetabluegrass, has been the Bluegrass programmer at KAFM Radio in Grand Junction since 2006. Veta and her husband, Joe, like Bluegrass concerts and festivals and traveling, a great combination. Veta is from Virginia, where her heart is, and goes there yearly or more to travel the Crooked Road. Her radio show, Bluegrass and Beyond, can be heard at www.kafmradio.org on Tuesdays, 4-6:30 pm MT. She is the author of the Pickin' in the Grand Valley and Points Beyond column that appears in Pow'r Pickin'.
Tommy Frederico makes his home in Durango. He works at Ft. Lewis College, and also runs the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown. He's also a musician, playing in a few local bands around town.
