Happy....springtime? I hope so. It seems that winter has made a reappearance again and again. But the sun has come out and put a hurtin' on the snowpack. And speaking of Melt: how many of you enjoyed the Durango Meltdown? We hope you had a great time at that festival. And the North Platte festival. Both were really good shows.
It's May! And here goes: some of the upcoming shows we have are: High Plains Tradition, which will be playing at the Parker venue on May 7.
Also on May 7, beginning at Noon is the Instrument Repair Workshop, plus the drop off/pick up for the John J. Wood Memorial Instrument Library.
Coming up on Memorial Day weekend is MeadowGrass, which takes place in Black Forest, at the very north end of Colorado Springs.
Elephant Revival will be at Red Rocks on May 22. Details here

Have any of you had the pleasure of attending ROMP? It is the fundraising festival for the International Bluegrass Music Museum. It has increased in visibility and has grown into quite a festival with a WOWZA line up. It happens in Owensboro, Kentucky, on June 22-25. Check it out:
We at CBMS are in need of an advertising salesperson for our monthly magazine: Pow'r Pickin'. It would be a great help to have someone on board who was specifically focused on selling ads for the magazine. It's a commission sales position and would not require a ton of time. If you are interested, please contact Annie Savage .
If you have wanted to volunteer with CBMS, there are several opportunities. We have an outreach program. Fill out the form and someone will contact you about finding a place for you to serve, either in developing programs for kids in the schools, or performing for our older friends who are in nursing facilities. We would love to have you on board.
Thank you for your membership and support of Colorado Bluegrass Music Society.
