in a world full of regional cover bands. These guys do it right.” Dick hails from the great state of Nebraska where he not only excelled in music but basketball as well. Once you meet him you'll immediately understand why. While living in Nebraska Dick enjoyed a musical stint in the very successful western swing band Sour Mash. He toured the country with that group from 1976 until 1982. After moving to Colorado Dick played bass with the Front Range trio Black Rose who later went on to win the coveted Rockygrass Band competition. Dick brings to Palmer Divide a rock solid foundation to build all our songs on with his doghouse bass. Jody had tours of duty with the Air Force Academy Band, most recently performing at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC. His festival and concert work include multiple performances at the Grand Ole Opry, The Nashville Network, and The White House for Presidents Reagan, Bush, and Clinton. Jody, an Oklahoma native, is an accomplished songwriter with several regional, national, and European compositions to his credit. Jody also received SPBGMA’s prestigious Mandolin Player of the Year award. He is a much sought after studio musician and teacher in Colorado. In the band Jody sings lead, harmony, and plays fiddle and mandolin plus he handles most of the songwriting duties. Greg is an east Tennessee native that grew up there playing music. He has a long history of performing with various acoustic bands throughout Tennessee and now in Colorado. Greg was a founding member of the Denver based acoustic group White Lightning which enjoyed a great deal of success in Colorado throughout the mid 90's. Greg also played guitar and mandolin with both The Cletus Brothers and Black Rose. Greg currently performs acoustic music in a family band with wife Donna and son Dustin. He is now returning to his original passion, playing original bluegrass music with Palmer Divide. Mickey is a Virginia native that migrated west during Colorado's blizzard of 1997. He played in various bluegrass bands in the Washington, DC area and won first place in the Pennsylvania's Deer Creek Bluegrass Festivals' Dobro competition while performing there with Flatland Grass. After moving to Colorado he joined ranks with noted Boulder songwriter Benny Galloway and Greg Reed, and played in the Boulder based band The Cletus Brothers. At the same time Mickey held down the guitar duties in the band Lost Creek. Soon after he joined up with Colorado's Black Rose band and performed with them before the itch to return to pure driving bluegrass overcame him. Mickey is also a graphic artist, luthier, and a former free-agent place-kicker with the NFL's New England Patriots. Discography
