The Colorado Bluegrass Music
Society is
a non-profit corporation in Colorado.
CBMS is a highly-regarded, progressive
Colorado organization that leads in education, promotion, preservation
and proliferation of bluegrass music through its involvement of
fans, musicians, businesses and promoters in festivals, jams, events,
concerts and educational programs. It is a social network, an information
resource and a powerful voice for bluegrass music, which is apparent
in our website, festivals, newsletter, concerts, membership, educational
programs and partnerships.
Mission Statement
Our purpose is:
- To promote and encourage the development, performance and preservation
of bluegrass music in the communities of our state.
- To provide education as to the history of bluegrass music and
work to sustain its future.
- To provide a centralized source of information regarding events
related to bluegrass music.
- To publish a newsletter which focuses on information related
to the above objectives and purposes.
Pow'r Pickin' is the official
publication of the Colorado Bluegrass Music
Society. It is published monthly. *All information contained
in Pow'r Pickin' is the opinion of the individual authors. Such
information does not necessarily represent the opinion or policy
of the Colorado Bluegrass Music Society, its officers
or its members, unless otherwise noted.*
CBMS is also an organizational member of the International Bluegrass Music Association. |
